Thai massage is an ancient form of bodywork that relaxes and energizes a person to a very profound level, using an extensive variety of techniques: acupressure, compression work, therapeutic stretching, joint mobilization, reflexology points on feet, hands and face, along with some assisted yoga poses. |
| |
The client is placed into various postures to relax tense muscles, increase flexibility, mobilise and open joints thus energising the whole body.
It is suitable for people of all ages irrespective of their level of flexibility - the pressure and stretching is matched to the client’s physical ability and needs. A powerful healing effect is produced; it leaves one feeling relaxed yet energized. People also report an increased awareness of and improvement in their breathing and posture following the treatment. |
| |
The treatment is carried out on a futon mattress with the recipient wearing comfortable and stretchy clothing. The treatment lasts for 90min but 2 hour sessions are also available. |
| |
Thai massage helps to relieve tension within the body and can be effectively used for pain relief. It improves the function of the lymph glands and blood circulation, balances the nervous system and clears out blocked and stagnant energy. |

It also helps release toxins and waste materials from the joints, muscles and connective tissue, and stimulates internal organs through work on specific acupressure points. |
